Field Day is literally just around the corner! The premier contest and public relations event in Amateur Radio takes place
over the weekend of June 26-27. The MRA will participate with the Independent Radio Club from the McGill campground on Mount Pinos, so come
on by the site and join in the fun!
The Independent Radio Club has offered to have the MRA join them at the McGill campground on Mount Pinos, approximately 15 mile west of Frasier Park. One of the benefits of MRA Membership is Field Day, and this year that means the MRA will pick up the tab for Field Day with the IRC. If you are interested, please contact Rick, K6VE, as soon as you can.
Check out info at: www.ircradio.org
For more info on Field Day, check page 107 of the May QST, or the ARRL site.
As in the past, the MRA will be on the air with a full complement of HF, VHF and UHF
equipment. Listen for
"K6VE" on the 160, 75/80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meter bands
as well as 6 meters, 2 meters, 70 cm, and 222 MHz (of course!) Come by the site
to try some new modes, look around, and enjoy the camaraderie!
See you there!
